Our services

Consultation

A consultation at the pregnancy center typically involves meeting with a trained consultant to discuss any concerns or questions related to pregnancy. The consultant will begin with a brief intake process to gather some basic information about the clients medical history and current health status.

During the consultation, we will likely offer information on various topics related to pregnancy, such as prenatal care, childbirth education, and parenting resources. They may also discuss options for pregnancy testing and verification, as well as give more information about pregnancy termination or adoption if desired.

The consultation is a safe and confidential space where you can feel comfortable asking questions and discussing your options without judgment. The goal is to provide accurate information and support to help you make informed decisions about the pregnancy and future parenting or reproductive choices.

Pregnancy Testing

The pregnancy test is typically administered shortly after an individual has completed their intake forms at the pregnancy center. After meeting with a consultant, the individual will be guided to a private bathroom where they can take the test with the consultant present.

The test is usually a simple urine test that detects the presence of the pregnancy hormone, hCG. The consultant will provide instructions on how to take the test and may assist with any questions or concerns.

It's important to note that throughout the testing process, the individual will never be left alone when reading the results. The consultant will be present to offer support, answer any questions, and provide resources or referrals as needed.

Overall, the goal of the pregnancy test is to provide accurate and confidential results in a safe and supportive environment.

Ultrasound

Once a positive pregnancy test has been confirmed, individuals may be eligible for a limited obstetric ultrasound at the pregnancy center. This type of ultrasound is used to confirm the viability of the pregnancy and provide an estimated due date.

It's important to note that the pregnancy center's ultrasounds are not used to determine the gender of the fetus or diagnose any medical conditions. However, the healthcare provider or consultant can provide referrals to local doctors for further care or testing if needed.

Each ultrasound performed at the pregnancy center is carefully reviewed by the Medical Director to ensure the highest level of accuracy and quality. Additionally, the healthcare provider or consultant will offer support and guidance throughout the process and provide resources or referrals as needed.

It's recommended that individuals who receive a positive pregnancy test at the pregnancy center follow up with an OB/GYN for ongoing care throughout their pregnancy. The healthcare provider or consultant can provide information and referrals to local doctors or clinics as needed.

You can schedule an appointment to "shop" or drop in at any time. We kindly ask that you limit your selection to 2 bags per child. Additionally, we occasionally receive larger items such as cribs, strollers, bouncers, and more, which can be requested.

This incredible resource is open to everyone in the community, and you do not need to be a client of the center to use it. We encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity to access quality clothing and items for their children.

I love the fact that the Pregnancy Center of Oxford is based around spirituality. There is always encouragement anytime I need it. I also love how the ladies check in throughout the pregnancy to see how things are going.
